Recently I took a trip to Arizona to visit my youngest Daughter and her new Husband. What a beautiful place! The superstition Mountains are amazing. And we were there just before the weather started to heat up for the summer. We took a day and drove up to Sedona, a place I had always wanted to visit. While there I took advantage of the opportunity to have my aura photographed. It turns out I have a Lotta green all the way from the top of my head to the tip of my toes and I have blue on one side of me and yellow on the other. Green has always been my favourite colour and apparently It oozes out of my energy field!
When I returned home I pulled out a very large canvas and started to work away at an expressive abstract. When I was finished I took a step back and realized I had painted the colours of my aura! This piece is called “Memories of Sedona”
It always amazes me what comes out in a painting while you’re working on it. You don’t even realize what’s going on until you step back and take a look at what you’ve done.
Mark making is an excellent way to face a blank canvas. Underneath this painting are layers of charcoal, pencil, pastels, And some scratching into the surface as well. Then you just keep moving forward until you feel like you can’t do it anymore and you’re loving how it’s looking. So much fun.
